What applies
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) has applied to in-scope products and services since 28 June 2025, enforced through national law. Micro-enterprises that provide services are exempt (Article 4(5)). No harmonised standard is yet cited under the Act. EN 301 549 V3.2.1, the harmonised standard under the Web Accessibility Directive, adopts WCAG 2.1 level AA; V4.1.1 (September 2026, WCAG 2.2) awaits citation. We also test three of the six WCAG 2.2 additions at levels A and AA.
What we measure
Deterministic checks per template — contrast ratios, names and roles, keyboard operability, focus visibility, form labelling, heading structure — each with the failing element, the measured value and, where one applies, the clause it maps to. A later audit confirms when each violation is resolved, and records the date.
Where measurement stops
Automated testing catches a subset of accessibility barriers. Pages behind a login are covered when you add a test account and list those pages. We cannot sign in through a one-time code, or reach pages without a test account. Third-party embeds, documents and native apps stay outside the run, and judgment findings are advisory. We do not issue conformity statements or certification — that is your declaration to make, with our evidence attached.
